DFP condemns Abdullah Tari’s arrest

Srinagar, June 23 : The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has strongly condemned the arrest of party’s Acting Chairman, Muhammad Abdullah Tari and demanded his immediate release along with other Hurriyet leaders and activists.
The spokesman of Democratic Freedom Party in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the occupation authorities had kept party Chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Shah behind the bar for 26 years but couldn’t succeed to suppress his voice through use of brute force.
He said that the morale of the people of Jammu and Kashmir was very high and they would never compromise on their basic right to self-determinations for which they had been rendering sacrifices for last several decades. He said that the day was not far when the people of the occupied territory would get rid of Indian bondage.
The spokesman also appealed the international community to take notice of Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir and put pressure on India to resolve the long-standing Kashmir dispute in accordance with Kashmiris’ aspirations.

Srinagar, June 20: Expressing serious concern over the stepping-up human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir the Acting president of Democratic Freedom Party M Abdullah Tari has said that the killing of innocent Kashmiris by Indian troops amply demonstrate the fact that the occupation forces were involved in the genocide of Kashmiris.
Condemning the killing of Muhammad Rafique Bangroo and Javed Ahmed Malla, the DFP leader said that India was trying to quell Kashmiris’ voice by using its military might.
He said that the human rights situation in Kashmir would not improve at all unless India rulers change their traditional policy of coercion towards the settlement of Kashmir dispute. In view of the changes sweeping across the region he said that India should stop the blood bath of Kashmiris.
He also deplored Indian Army general’s statement and saying that this extremist attitude was utterly inhuman, autocratic and uncalled for.
Meanwhile, the DFP spokesman condemned in strong terms the puppet chief minister Omar Abdullah’s statement wherein he called Kashmir an integral part of India. While terming it as ridicules one the spokesman said that the statement was issued to appease Indians.
