But if they have got it, they should first consult Geelani, Malik and the family members of those whose sons have been martyred,” Shah said. “Government of India has to accept the conditions put forth to them like revocation of AFSPA and release of prisoners so that conducive atmosphere is created on ground for talks."

They left without consulting others'shabir shah

Srinagar, Dec 16: Senior Hurriyat Conference (M) leader and Chairman Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Sunday said that no other leader was consulted before the Hurriyat (M) delegation flew to Islamabad.
“It was through media that I came to know that Hurriyat delegation is leaving for New Delhi. We all represent sacrifices and aspirations of the nation. It is because of people that we’ve been recognized in international forums and communities and are being invited in various forums. Hurriyat team should have consulted Syed Ali Shah Geelani Sahib, Yasin Malik and all pro-freedom leaders,” Shah told KNS.We’re not against Pakistan visit but it was better if we could have unanimously reached a consensus as it would have borne more fruits and the visit would have had more weight”, he added. He said the Hurriyat (M) is an amalgam of various associations and its constitution is clear that the all associations are fighting for right to self determination. “Mirwaiz Sahib is Chairman of this amalgam. He should make it very clear whether he is going to represent his own party there or the Hurriyat as a whole”, said Shah.
Referring to division among Hurriyat ranks, Shah said, “Divisions among leadership is an advantage for our opponents. Unification is a must in the interest of Kashmir movement to reap desired results. It will be better to work under one programme and not to issue individual party programmes. Announcing joint programmes after consultation will be more effective’, said Shah. Reacting to the statement of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq where in he had said that hardliner separatist groups should change their outlook, Shah said: ‘Mirwaiz should explain the statement to the people and clarify what outlook he was talking about.' Appreciating statement of Syed Ali Shah Geelani wherein he had said that unification of Hurriyat is possible on the basic principles of right to self determination, Shah said, “I welcome and appreciate the statement of Geelani Sahib. We (Hurriyat) are fighting for right to self determination and the constitution of Hurriyat clearly speaks about it. All Hurriyat leaders should come on the table and should make collective effort to achieve this goal. Let us all unite on this basic principle”, he said. Speaking about the Indo-Pak dialogue, he said that no Hurriyat leader is against the dialogue process. “Constitution of Hurriyat states that it should be tripartite dialogue where India, Pakistan and representatives of Kashmir are involved. I admit that in past we committed some mistakes but now we’re aware about the facts. It is India who has to initiate the meaningful dialogue and it should be held under the supervision of world independent observers. The observers of the dialogue will see who is running away from the table and who is sincere in the process. I appeal international community, European Union in general and UNO in particular to hold plebiscite in JK as it was held in East Timor and South Sweden,” he added.
Senior Hurriyat leader reiterated his demand for the institutionalization of the Hurriyat. “We’ve to go at grass root level and reach out to orphans, widows and other affected people. Tuesday, January 1, 2013

Srinagar january 1-2013 : After being put under house arrest for some days after the Pulwama firing incident, Democratic Freedom Party Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah Tuesday succeeded in reaching to Petipura Pulwama.
Shah paid glowing tributes to Shaheed Imtiyaz Ahmad and expressed his sympathy with the bereaved family. Along with the party workers Islamic political Party Chairman Muhammad Yusuf Naqash was also with the DFP chairman.
After that Shabir Ahmad Shah tried to go to Shopian where he was to meet the injured people but was confronted by the armed forces near Lassipora and arrested.
Earlier addressing the people in Petipora, Shah said that the double standards of the government has been exposed. “In Delhi the protestors are being confronted with the water cannons but in the valley the people protesting the injustices being meted to them are showered with bullets by the armed forces,” he said.
He said that the democracy and the Nazism cannot go together. “It is double standards that the authorities talk of democracy but they flow the practical way of Nazism. It has been proved that the powerful cannot take the smaller powers forgranted and make them slaves forever.” he said.
It has been proved by the retreat of Russia from Afghanistan, US from Iraq and now they are mulling to withdrawal from the Afghanistan. He said that the US was trying to give the armed forces struggle the colour of democracy but that has failed miserably and are now about to withdraw from the Afghanistan.
“The condition of the armed forces will be meted with the same fate in India,” he added.
Criticizing the policies of the oppressors he said these tactics have led to the emergence of the militant organizations. “If the powerful forces will respect the smaller forces then the militant forces will automatically come to an end. The emergence of the militancy at the world level is because of the denying of the basic rights by the powerful forces,” he added.
Shah also said that the freedom struggle is not an issue of any single person but of the nation as a whole. “When we talk of the peaceful solution of Kashmir issue, it is the solution as per the aspirations of the people of the valley.”
He also blamed the Indian politicians that they are using the armed forces for suppressing the voice of the people but on the other hand they are talking of the dialogue process.
“The result of this double standard is before the people that the puppet governments are coming and going but the voices of the people were not given any regard. When the sacrifices offered by the people put the Kashmir issue at the international level, it is now difficult to suppress the voices of the people,” he said.
Shah said that like the people in Arab and Afro-Asia are breathing in the freedom, the dawn of freedom will also reach to the valley in near future. The conscious people of the valley are looking towards the developments at the international level where the tyrant leaders have been pushed to the ground. “The tyrant rulers are trying to suppress these voices but we are hopeful that they will not succeed in their evil designs,” he said.
Meanwhile DFP has strongly criticized the continuous arrest of their Chairman and said that the house arrest and the detention of their chairman in 2012 has reached to about 9 months.

'They left without consulting others'

Srinagar, Dec 16: Senior Hurriyat Conference (M) leader and Chairman Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Sunday said that no other leader was consulted before the Hurriyat (M) delegation flew to Islamabad.
“It was through media that I came to know that Hurriyat delegation is leaving for New Delhi. We all represent sacrifices and aspirations of the nation. It is because of people that we’ve been recognized in international forums and communities and are being invited in various forums. Hurriyat team should have consulted Syed Ali Shah Geelani Sahib, Yasin Malik and all pro-freedom leaders,” Shah told KNS.
“We’re not against Pakistan visit but it was better if we could have unanimously reached a consensus as it would have borne more fruits and the visit would have had more weight”, he added.
Referring to division among Hurriyat ranks, Shah said, “Divisions among leadership is an dvantage for our opponents. Unification is a must in the interest of Kashmir movement to reap desired results. It will be better to work under one programme and not to issue individual party programmes. Announcing joint programmes after consultation will be more effective’, said Shah.
Reacting to the statement of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq where in he had said that hardliner separatist groups should change their outlook, Shah said: ‘Mirwaiz should explain the statement to the people and clarify what outlook he was talking about.’
Appreciating statement of Syed Ali Shah Geelani wherein he had said that unification of Hurriyat is possible on the basic principles of right to self determination, Shah said, “I welcome and appreciate the statement of Geelani Sahib.
Every person of the nation is supporting this view. People should ascertain the facts to know who is creating hurdles in this process”, said Shah. KNS

The convener of Hurriyat Conference (M) Pakistan and AJK chapter Mehmood Ahmed Saghar while talking to Greater Kashmir said, “Dr Fai is a proud son of the soil who has been championing legitimate cause of Kashmiris’ at international level for more than 25 years. “Dr Fai’s years-long struggle on diplomatic front stands witness to the fact that he worked within the parameters and in accordance with the US policy regarding Kashmir,” he added. Referring to the UN resolution on Kashmir Saghar said the United States was the co-sponsor of the historic resolution that gave legitimacy to Kashmir issue. He stated that it was under the direction of President Harry Truman, the then president of the United States that the US ambassador to the UN, Ambassador Huston wrote the resolution guaranteeing right to self-determination to Kashmiri people.
Saghar said that Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir was based on the relevant UN resolutions on Kashmir and “It does not mean that any person promoting and pleading right to self-determination for Kashmiris is working on Pakistan’s agenda.”
“Such an argument” he said lacks credibility and is devoid of any meaning and substance.

The latest harsh court judgment he said won’t really send a good message to Kashmiris and all those people who expected and also demanded American facilitation in the sub-continent on the dispute of Kashmir.
